getting a 14 MO to sleep bit later than 5am

hi, 14 month old wakes a few times during night, fine, goes to bed 8ish, fine. but getting up at 5 and crying until i go in there where its all smiles and play time. not fine. tried leaving to cry but just gets hysterical. how can i try and make it known that 5am isnt getting up for playtime

my ds is 19mo and has only just started sleeping past 530am....my only tip would be go to bed earlier...your child is just too young to know any different. be grateful he/she sleeps as well as she does...it will get better i promise!

How dark is his/her room in the mornings? I used to have blackout curtains in my dd's room, but have now added a blackout blind as well and its pitch black in there & she now sleeps til 8.30am, - when I wake her!
