8 month who has just started waking 5-6 times in the night

I wonder if you anyone can help??

I have a 8 month old boy who has just started waking 5-6 times in the night....he has been sleeping through for last 4 months from 6-7 no problem. He goes to sleep well and without a dummie, but only way to stop him crying in the night is to give him a dummie, the only problem is that he is not able to keep the dummie in himself...and never has been able to, so you have to tuck a blanket next to him to keep it in, trouble is when he moves in the night the dummie is falling out and then we have start all overe again!

Any ideas????

Is he teething at the moment? My ds is 9 months and wakes lots more just before a tooth pops through (he has 6 already!). Sucking can help relieve pain, maybe try some teething powders instead if it is his toothy pegs.

Yes he is teething, but they only seem to really bother him during the day. And he still doesnt have any teeth either!
