Any thoughts on a 6mo who sleeps well for 1st half of night but wakeful after 1130ish?

DD is very good at going down after her 25min BF and 5oz bottle at 630 bedtime. She rarely wakes before 11ish and if she does it only because she has wind or something. However after we do a dream feed at about 11, she usually wakes up about 3 or 4 times. It's maddening knowing she can go for 5 hrs or more but then she'll wake every couple of hours thereafter. Any solutions? I always breastfeed her if she wakes, unless it's an hour or less after a feed. She is quite small so I worry about her just having a small tummy and digesting quite quickly - don't want to attempt to stop nightfeeds if she's genuinely hungry.

i think that is just how their sleep patterns work - the longest stretch of sleep at the beginning of the night, then lighter sleep after that. i think over time their patterns become more adult, think i read around ten months?

sorry not to have helpful advice. she sounds like a dream going down though!

Are you waking her for dream feed? Could you be disturbing her deep sleep? if you left her she might go longer and wake naturally for a feed at 1 or 2 or 3 and you will have less wake ups. You often see debates on here about dream feeds.

I don't wake her for dream feed, and tried dropping it about a month ago and she started pooing at 1am. Not a result we were hoping for -- when she poos it takes ages to get her back to sleep again as she is extremely sensitive to any kind of activity at night, she thinks any noise/light near her means time to play and smile etc. cute but less so after an hour or 2. Am frankly scared in case it starts again but have put her down awake this eve and will leave her tonight till she wakes, last night it was about 1115 and she then woke at 3ish and then finally at 615ish for the day. so improving but just not predictable. Have posted elsewhere today that she is underweight so need to get some solids down her, no doubt this will mess with her sleep too so I guess I'll never win. Sigh. Just wish for the holy grail, A Night Off.
