What to wear in the old grobag...

Bit puzzled here. Been on the grobag site to investigate purchasing a lower tog bag for a holiday and am confuddled by the clothing guides. When they say 'long sleeve bodysuit', does this mean no legs? At 18C temp they say 2.5 tog bag and long sleeve bodysuit and pyjama top- so nothing on the legs?? Am I smoothering my baby in legged suits?! Curious as to what others put their babies in...?

Completely understand your confusion. I faithfully followed their instructions until my DS was over 1 (because I was worried about SIDS) but now he wears a long sleeved body suit and an all in one when it's cold and a short sleeved body when it's warmer. I found he had cold arms and legs otherwise.

I was always confused by this too. I think they mean no legs, but I was always worried his legs would get cold, so he always had PJ bottoms on.

I always put a sleepsuit or pyjamas on too - didnt want to leave them with bare legs!!

my ds (15weeks) wears a short sleeved vest and a long sleeve (with legs and feet) babygro in a 2.5 grobag. In the summer or when its hot i used to put my ds1 in just a nappy, short sleeve vest in a 1tog bag. You can tell if they are too hot. All babies are different. Why dont you take both long sleeve vest and babygro on hol and then decide what they are like in the temp?

Thanks for your replies- glad to hear what you do... bare legs just seem wrong somehow! Sensible advice mad4mybaby- should trust my own judgement!
