DS about to outgrow his grobag - advice on changing to a quilt/sheets please

DS is 15 months old and soon will outgrow his 6-18 month grobag ( it'll probably last him another month or so but was wondering if anybody had advice on moving to sheets/duvets etc.

How old before they can have/need a pillow?

I have tried to use a duvet with him before (during daytime naps) and he always ends up with his head under the duvet and the rest of him sticking out and getting cold (he's a wriggling little thing).

Help please ?

they do grobags in size 18mths-3yrs. My dd still uses hers at 23 mths. If it works, I wouldn't change it.

They cost so much though... wasn't keen on laying out another £50+ tbh. Is that mean

slumbersacs and dreambags are cheaper versions of the grobag or bumpto3 have some in their sale

we bought all our grobags at NCT sales for between £2 and £8 (varying condition). keeping dd in them for as long as possible as she is so wriggly...

ds 19months has a pillow (small and flat), cot duvet and fleece blanket.

he sleeps in pjs and a fleece sleep suit. this is so that when he wriggles out, he doesn't get cold.

Have you tried TKMaxx? I've seen Grobags in there for £10 (yes, reduced from £26!). They also have a huge selection of other branded sleeping bags (including ITNG ones). If you want, I can have a look next time I am there to see if they have any in the size you want?
