What age did your DC stop having a grobag and start having duvet/pillow?

Couldn't find DS's sleeping bag on Tuesday so tucked him up under a cot duvet for his nap.

Told DH that evening, and he just went ahead and did the same for DS at bedtime, which I was a bit surprised about as had only done it myself out of necessity.

But he was fine in it, and for nap yesterday and last night too, in fact slept a bit longer than he has been.

So is it ok for 18mo babes to have duvets? If he's fine with it should I go with it? Maybe it would pre-empt fuss later trying to change from bag to duvet... Also don't want to have to fork out for 18-36month sleeping bags!

My 21mo has a duvet and a pillow and has had it for about three weeks. She loves it, although inevitably ends up chucking the pillow out every night.

What sort of pillow do you use for littlies that young. My DD loves my pillow when she co-sleeps, so have been thinking of putting one in her bed (she's almost 2) but an 'adult' one just seems too big - are there special ones for kids?

Bear in mind that lots of babies never sleep in a sleeping bag, what are you worried about? Only problem is if your baby throws off the duvet and gets cold in the night. You will soon know about it!

Nice small pillows available in Ikea!

Dd (18mo) has had a single duvet and single pillow for a couple of months now and seems to be ok with them.

Dd has this one
