Any advice ds was bf till about 7 months when i went back to work he pretty much co slept then and finally moved into his own room 3 weeks ago. He can on a bad night be awake every hour from 10pm. We live in brisbane so its still too hot for grow bags although im gong to try him in a single thin one and a nappy tonight! It gets light very early her so im often up at 5am which agin is just fine its the bit in the middle. For months we have made excuses because he has a sort of hydrocephalus but is asympomatic so i am now fairly convinced its just cross baby crying. He naps poorly, often only 20mins at a time maybe twice a day... between work and no sleep i need a shrink! last night i9 tried CC but after over an hour i gave in and put him in the cot in our room where he promptly fell asleep. Was an hour long enough or do i need to perserve longer? any other sleep hints to try. ive substituted milk for water after he has had a late bottle which he is happy to guzzle! Any advice please!!!

so he sleeps in the cot in your room but nowhere else?

until you're feeling less tired, i'd just let him sleep there... tackle it when you're feeling rested.

CC's horrid in my opinion and they start feeling anxious about separation at this point so i would go gently, maybe putting baby in his cot in new room for a play at first, read him stories etc, then move onto naps in there until finally through the night.

it'll happen, don't worry

head nees patting.. will sleep for similar short periods in our rroom but dh is a very noisy sleeper! so i dont think that helps DS. he seems quite happy in his room, given up oc cc didnt work with DD and DS just isnt the sort either... will stagger around in the dark for another night....maybe i should take the phenergan!
