Have had normal evening routine -

have put LO up to bed at 7pm, read her two favourite books whilst she drank her milk - then told her I was going down stairs.

I dont want to spend one more night ballanced on the edge of her bed, or her coming into my room at 2am and sleeping with me.

We get crap sleep and are grumpy with each other.

No DP to hold my hand... please any offers?

My ds has just fallen asleep after cc, we've been doing it for a while now, it is very hard but I have to concentrate on the fact I no longer have to sit in his room for nearly an hour while he fights sleep and he is sleeping so much better than he ever used to. It is so, so hard though but I didn't give in because I thought it was worse to have made him cry for nights on end and then give in - it would have made all the crying seem pointless.

Sure.
Good luck!

fab - she actually hasnt made a noise yet

very unlike her, I thought she would have screamed.

I did CC before xmas, and it worked after 4 nights, but then she got poorly and was very clingy for two weeks and old habbits cropped up.

LisaJasper - how long have you been doing it, how long does it take, and how old is your DS?

I'm here! Hope it goes well. Sounds like you're off to a good start (fingers are crossed for you). x

Good luck - stick with it! I read somewhere that parents who tolerate poor sleep related behaviour have children who are poor sleepers. So basically, we can be our own worst enemies on this front.

I've just changed our routine with my DD and it's working a treat. (so far!)
