Calling all mumnetters (solo, rubyslippers, fifitot, nappyaddict and tutter in particular)

I am in desperation going to try WTS on my 21 mth DS tonight. It's hard as I work shifts but am just wondering if your little cherubs are still going along with it??
He wakes around 5.20-5.30 every day (Sat and Sun slept til 7/7.30 but had bit of a cold). This early waking has been going on since Jan 2nd and I can't cope another day. Have now tried everything except this. Would you al reccommend? Gos I hope you read this thread then can give me some knod words or encourgement and advice. I hope it's going well for you all too. Challenging to say the least this parenting lark!!

Hmm, I think I spoke to soon plod!

I'm not sure I've been waking DS enough either - the first night was ok, with DS waking at 6.30 and me going back to sleep straight away after waking him at 4.15. But today and yesterday have both been 5.55 wakings - a slight improvement, admittedly, but I'm not sure it's worth it as I haven't been able to get back to sleep!

I've been waking naturally around 4, dozing until around 4.15-4.30, going to rouse DS, then not being able to get back to sleep until 5-5.30ish! So DS waking at 5.55 is pretty disheartening in my fragile over-tired state

I might try it again tonight but really waiting for his eyes to open. Just tell me he really won't wake for the day then!

I guess it might well just take longer if you're trying to break a pattern that's been going on since the beginning of the year. It's only been a fortnight for us but that's bad enough. I just wonder what MIL did to him 2 weekends ago to mess up his normal sleeping pattern like this! He hasn't been the same since.
