Co-sleeping baby slow to settle after waking to feed

DS is 17 days old + we've co-slept the last two nights, mainly in an effort to avoid spending ages settling him after night feeds. The first night it worked really well, but last night he seemed to need to feed for ages before going back to sleep and I'm so demoralised (doesn't take much atm!) as I thought we'd found the solution to better nights. I BF him lying down, btw, in an effort not to disturb him at all when he's finished, but last night he wanted to keep coming back for more. He can be very sensitive to disturbance. Really trying to avoid formula top-ups but at 3am I weaken. Resisted last night and want to keep resisting but sleep's good too, for both of us. He's 11lbs 3oz btw, at 17 days!

Bumping for you.

Probably (I would assume? I'm no expert) if he's coming back for more its because he's hungry again. I was constantly amazed at how soon DS could get hungry after feeding for aaaaaaaages. Saying that, I didn't co-sleep, so I have no impressive tips on that front.

i should think he likes the comfort of it as well, and if it's right there next to him, why do something boring like sleep?
my 24 week DS is the same way, whether he's in the bed or in his cot next to us.
i don't think there is a solution! you can keep feeding, or listen to them grizzle. and yours is so little, you really can't say no.

I know eventually he gets to the point where he'll go off again, I need to keep that in mind!
