SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT...WHEN?

Am I the only new mum who is sick of being asked if my DS sleeps through the night yet? Mine is 15 weeks old and for the last 6 weeks has been sleeping from 8pm - 3/4 am . His milk intake has been upped a few time but still he wants his milk at this time in the morning. I thought I was doing quite well as he's going some time 8/9 hours between bottles but other mums are telling me their lo's sleep through. Any ideas on when his sleep schedule will increase and how can I help him to sleep through???

Poor you sleepymama!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure it will improve when he's better, have you seen GP?

Hi Cheekygirl - sorry for delay. Have been to GP - said it was a bug. DS has had diarrhoea for almost 6 days now and still no sign of subsiding.
He wakes every hour from 11pm onwards at night and I am now at the end of my tether. I just hope that when he is better he's not in a habit of waking all night!

dd2 is 18 months old and still doesn't sleep through the night!
I would also be sensitive to what people mean by "sleeping through".. Many of my friends who had babies said they were sleeping through the night from a very early age, but the babes didn't go to bed until 10.00 or 11.00pm!!! IMO sleeping through is when the child goes to bed at 6.30 or 7pm and sleeps 12 hours roughly!

my DS (12 weeks old) has been sleeping through for about 3 weeks now... from 8pm till 6.30am. The last couple of days he has been waking at bout 4am as he has a really bad cough and keeps waking himself up. But hopefully he will be better soon and continue the good work!
