Cranial osteopathy and sleep...

Anyone ever taken their baby or child to see a cranial osteopath to help with sleep problems? I took my 10 month old DS to see a cranial osteopath the other day, he needs two more sessions apparently, but we're strapped for cash and it's quite expensive (£40 a pop!). Is it worth it?

I took my DD to a Cranial Osteopath for a problem with her back, but she also started sleeping really well immediately afterwards (she had been a restless sleeper before). Coincidence?????

Hi. We took DD for treatment and it worked really well. Her skull plates hadn't rounded out evenly as she was breech and had one side of her skull rammed under my ribs for the final three months. You couldn't tell by looking but she was very grumpy for the first few weeks, and the CO mellowed her a great deal.

I'd say go with it, if you're sure the CO is reputable?

I did. Made no difference.

We did, ds4 had a rapid birth (40 mins a-z) and it affected him. In one session he went from 9 ewakes a night to 2, was amazing!

e had bout 5 sessions in the end, and we struggled but worth it

I took BabyDragon to unblock her nose/sinuses. It managed that but she was a horrendous sleeper afterwards having been fairly relaxed before her first visit.

I took DS for reflux and he always slept beautifully after his session. He was a poor sleeper for two years

We're taking DS next week for a free (yay!) new baby check, as it was so worthwhile with DD.

i only took ds once when he was 3.5 months and he had one of his worst nights ever that night. may try again to have regular sessions though ...

Im considering taking my 4 month old to see a CO as he shrieks in the middle of the night and it quite grumpy- any suggestions of good ones in London, Im in hampstead so if any suggestions of one in NW would be great.

I took mine at about 8-10 weeks old. He hardly slept at all (one day just for two hours in a whole 24!!) and cried most of the time he was awake. We went for three sessions. It was about £35-40 each (can't quite remember, was 5 years ago) and he was a different child at the end of it. I would really recommend it.
