DD is currently snuggled in a suitcase watching Totoro!

She is just so sweet, all snuggled in an empty suitcase in the front room, at her insistence, pillows on base for comfort, her pillow to rest on and her blanket. It is the perfect size for her to snuggle in!

But she is very much awake. She just copied some words 'goodbye granny' which was lovely as she said this to granny a few days ago.

She is just being adorable though, even though her sleep is out of sync (and she did give us a lie in until 11am this morning!). She sidled up to daddy a few minutes ago after being put into her own bed, and asked for a cuddle, irrestitible, then before he knew it, she was snuggled in our bed! But not sleeping and DH is working tomorrow so I got up with her.

So, I am about to go to make a coffee, and hope there are some MNers who want to chat while I wait for her to get sleepy

I just want to eat her all up. She has just excelled at being a dd over the last couple weeks. I am very proud of her, and even though she is not sleeping I don;t mind, I am happy to snuggle with her, save her from dust sprites

we went to supper with friends tonight and at one point when ds 2.10 was soliloquising for an audience i glimpsed dps face and vom it was a picture of adoration!!

I loved 2yo!
My ds is 3 and for the first half of being 3 he was really moany. Back to normal now.
He climbed up on our laps today and said 'I love it when we're all together'.
Bless him. I wonder where he gets all his loveliness from.
We are all very lucky.

Thats lovely Leo - kids can be so sweet. My niece is 6 and her mum works full time and had to work most of the christmas period. We spent christmas together and, off her own back, when her mother was at work, she got some paper and pens and made a card with a heart on the front and inside the heart, she wrote 'i miss you so much mama, i love you' So, it should continue this cuteness of our children!

'i want to go play, Oh Kay mama?' No, I want you to go to sleep now' 'i not sleepy mama, not my sleepies bed, not mummy daddy bed, I go play' then promptly tips all her little people on the floor! (lots of them).

I am now thinking 1. I am getting very tired. 2. She is not and I am going to be up for a while yet!

Oh me too, we would be extremely rich! I sometimes find myself feeling upset that it will one day end, and that her innocence will be lost I want her to stay like this (I don't really, but I love this age]]

Sooooo. Totoro, again. Tried putting her to bed, she closed her eyes, did not really seem sleepy but went through the motions. I got into bed. closed my eyes. Nice and silent. I dozed off.

'Mama! Mama! MAMAAA! Help me! I not sleepy! I get up now! HEEEELP me!, for 10 mins, I ignore thinking she might fall asleep on the floor or something. But No. She bangs on the door, DH wakes up, I get up and am now back in the front room.

And apparantly, I should try not to moan about. WTF, its 2:15 in the morning, and I am knackered, but I am not allowed to be grumpy about it. I really don't see why he thinks he has it difficult as he has to be in work for 9am. He will get up at 8am. As will I. He will go to work and di the bare minimum as no-one will be there, there is not much to do that he can start on a friday after holidays. I on the other hand wil clear up the mess that DD has created, and attempt to sort of pit of a flat out. But, I am not to moan about it.

A little moan there, DD is not being a pain, she is just awake. And she is out of milk now, after drinking more than 2 pints of it today.

Hey Jacksmama - well, not sure what time it was, probably about 3am-3:30am, but I fell asleep with DD watching Totoro, and she fell asleep in the suitcase!! I woke up at 4:30am, and she was just sooooooo cute, snuggled in her blanket. We now know where we are going to put a new baby.

There you go, you're probably going to start a new trend in baby furniture !
