What age did your DC drop his/her day time nap?

My 2.5 year old DD is beginning to show resistance, where she never has before. Could it be time already?

DTD2 had dropped her daytime nap by 3.

DTD1 was still taking naps at 5.

It could be time. Can you get her to lie down in her room at nap time, even if she won't sleep? or get her to play quietly there (which is what my mother did to give her a break for half and hour or so).

The other thing I did to encourage the DTDs to take naps was to let them sleep in dens they had made or nests of blankets on the floor.

I think I could get her to do both of things MDOB. Thanks - that's helpful!

DS2 - dropped his at 18 months and never looked back . DS1 was about 2. We go for quiet times when I think they looked tired. Snuggle blanket over them and a sit down and book with Mummy. That helps to calm them down and re-charge.
