When did your baby stop cluster feeding all evening before sleep?

DD2 is 7 weeks old and feeds every hour from 6pm till 1am (sometimes a bit earlier if we're lucky) and then wakes again between 5 and 6 am and is awake till 9am. How long did your los do this for? I know DD1 took a while to get into a bearable night time sleep pattern but can't remember how long... Just want some hope before DP and I kill each other, arguing about what we're doing wrong and why won't she sleep!

We hit 9 weeks before DS would go to sleep at a reasonable time (8.30pm). Before that, I was sometimes up with him till 2am.

Keep going...it won't last much longer!

Thanks for reply. Anyone else? I'm hoping you'll all say 'in a couple of weeks' and I then I won't give in to the idea of formula being the answer!

Sleeping 1am - 5/6 am is really really good for 7 weeks old. 7 weeks is probably a growth spurt. It is pointless to EVER ask what you're doing wrong and why won't your baby sleep. Unless you're shoveling them full of chocolate/coke/sweets, there's not really much you can do wrong, especially not at 7 weeks.

Ches - I agree with you but you know what men are like - always looking for a solution and sure there must be a problem you can solve!
She's been more settled the last couple of nights and I seem to have more milk than ever so maybe it was growth spurt and she just needed the supply to improve.
