Waking at 5am. Shouts until she gets toast and a drink. Then up for the day. Hurrah!

DD2 - known as the Foghorn - has recently taken to waking at 5am. She comes into bed for a very cursory feed from her Mum and then insists on getting up. If we fail to comply with her wishes she bellows at the top of her (oh so loud) voice.

We have managed to get her to sleep through the night about four months ago and everything was going really well until this started about 3 weeks ago.

We've tried calming her down and putting her back (as we do - successfully - if she wakes at night) but she just yells until my ears start bleeding. We've tried putting her down later, with no joy.

Sometimes as a special treat she refuses to nap during the day too. She's 17mo.

Any advice?

None at all but I do have a lot of sympathy. My 15mo has started random night wakings all over again.

With you on the nap thing too. We had 40 mins in total today.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Growth spurt?

Quite possible. I wonder too if she's just not tired enough. She's a lazy wee thing and whilst she can walk holding onto our fingers she refuses to even try doing it herself.
