DS has been sleeping in a cot in our room but he will be in a different cot on his room soon (boo hoo).

He does often nap in the cot in his room, but not for very long.

Any hints or tips?

Hello, I am going that this week too and what I am trying is:

-getting my DD to take her daytime naps in that room (sounds like you are already doing this)
-spending a lot of time in there playing with her so she gets use to it.

however, I am also expecting it to be ok as things I have worked myself up about DD hasn't batted an eyelid at. We all had to move into the spare room coz our bedroom got too cold and she didn't even seem to notice.

Not sure if that was remotely useful but good luck!

I'm sure you already have, what with Naps etc. but make sure everything is familiar ie. Bedding Cot toys etc.

If you haven't already try introducing a Tape or musical lullaby now,and then continue that in new room.I have always played a tape to my DC's,and this seems to become a signal for sleep time.

Ooh, that all sounds promising - we're already playing lullabies as suggested and he has a snuggly cot toy thing, so full steam ahead!

Walking womb - I think you'r right - this is probably going to be much harder on me than it will be on him!

Thanks all x
