My DD1 19 months old, occationally sleeps through but recently with the new born has been waking up in the night. I cant do much as my partner is fast asleep and i'd have to hit him over the head with a wet fish to wake him up, he sleeps through everything ( lucky sod) so the last few nights I've done what i can and some nights DD1 has been in bed with me aswell as DD2, parnter in spare room!!!
What can I do?

You seriously need to have a word wih DP otherwise you'll be no good for either of your little ones. My toddler was almost a year older than your when I had my second baby and she woke and wanted to start the day at 4.30am quite a few times. It was a few weeks before she considered the baby crying "normal" night time noise and stayed in bed.

Is there anyway you could split the responsibilities at night so your DP has DD1 to contend with and you just care for DD2?
