OK, tonight it's different. 9.5mo WILL sleep in her room

We started at 7pm. She stood up and cried, DH kept going back, for about an hour. Now he is sitting in the room with her. She is sitting up and grizzling pretty much constantly but we're not hard enough for all out crying.

To add, this is the first night we have tried to put her in her own room so it's a double whammy which I know isn't ideal.

Anyone have any tips, I don't want to give up and take her in with me as usual but I can see it going that way.

I know it is different, but when we ditched dd's dummy, I persevered because if I gave in, all her crying would have been for nothing.
It is the first night and it will get better.

I agree with pudding - unless she is really distressed you are best off sticking to your guns for all your sakes.

I must admit to never bing able to take my own advice on this score But in my defence, DS used to go from mild grizzling to all out screaming and puking within seconds.

DD is a bit like that. The slightest thing and it's tears and snot all over the place. She's asleep now, has been since about quarter past so it took 2.15hrs but she has fallen asleep with the bottle (don't think there is anything left in it). She'll wake up again though, I know she will.

Thanks, it's just so hard, their little faces...
