So if he prefers sleeping draped over a pillow at 14 months, can I give him one?

He's mega-restless just now - a teething and ants-in-his-pants combo I think. Without fail he bundles all his bedcovers into a corner and sleeps on top of them so I've been giving him a pillow to lie across. I didn't think twice about it then I'm sure I read something saying they shouldn't have one until 2 years of age. What's the general wisdom on this?

I thought it was 1?
If so it should be fine.

Hi Davina, my ds is 16 months and has been doing this too for a couple of months. I reckon if it makes them happy then go with it. They are old enough to move the pillow away if fed up with it!

Both of mine have had a thin pillow from 12 months.

Great, thanks

pillows allowed from 1, but needs to be a flat, baby pillow. Mine's been sleeping with one for a couple of months and he is 14 months now.
