Controlled Crying Starting Tonight

My daughter is 5 months old and has been waking once in night at 4am for ages. I have now stopped her milk intake at this time and she just wakes to be comforted. She stays awake for at least an hour and will only go back to sleep if held for a long time. She goes down at 7pm in her cot awake and is asleep by 5 past. I am going to start cc tonight any advice or is anybody else doing it at the momement? She eats very well in ay so i know she doesent need food in the night.

ds slept thru night but woke at 5:30 (which he has done for past number or mornings.. pattern emerging..) controlled crying till 6:30 when he fell asleep. woke again at 7:30. feeling positive about the whole thing.

Glad it is working for you Ja9 good luck, my night was awlful d/d woke at 10.00pm after 15 minutes went down again. I didn't go in as she is worse! 10.45 she started big style started 2 go in as it got so bad to comfort her but she got worse. Have read the bood Dr Ferbers and it looks like I did right think she finally fell asleep after 1 hour and three quarters. It was awful felt rotten in the end gave her diluted juice in beaker and she went to sleep.

Then tonight she was off her food and very clingy to me all day and she went down without bottle protested but was too tired wee pet after creche. Goes for am session 9 to 11.ooam.

AFter diner which she ate very little she was sick vomitted all over the place so I gave her water and dyulite it's late and i am tired poor spelling please ignore.

She went down with water in bottle we are talking a small amount left and she is coughing now midnight.

Will keep you posted how tonight goes d/h is back tomorrow nice to have some support

So looks like Ja9 you have cracked it although am start is still very early hope it improves for you.

Last night went reasonable well. d/d slept until 4.00am and after 15 minutes of wimpering I did offer her milk in cup as she hadn't had any as she had been sick before bedtime. Taking her to doctors to check out chest just to be on the safe side. Still trying to stick to the controlled crying as there never seems to be a good time with colds etc... I will just keep putting it off but interesting to see what tonight will be like.
