dd2 has always been a good sleeper. since she was 12 wks she has always gone to bed awake at 8pm and slept til about 7am.

now, she is 18 wks and still goes down awake about 8 pm but now wakes at 5 am. over the last few days its been 30mins earlier each morning, im dreading tomorrow and according to the pattern itll be 430 am!

its just such a long day with both dd's, dh doesnt get home til 6 pm and with this deep snow and coldness there is not much to do all day really.

ANY helpful suggestions would be much appreciated

TIA xxx

ds who is 5 mths today started waking at about 3.30 - 4 last week (had already started with baby rice) so i decided to try and knock 1/2 hr of both his big sleeps in the day and touch wood it seems to have worked altho i know now i've said it i'll be up at 2 tomorrow morning!

DS went through this from 17 weeks until last week. He's 6 months now. I can honestly say it's been the most hellish, exhausting 2 months of my life. Every little thing seemed to affect his sleep. Vaccination (never again!), teeth, then he got a wee cold, more teeth then a spot of the runs. I gave him 2 tries at solids (17 weeks and 20 weeks) and it made no difference.

It just must be a developmental thing; I guess they're doing a lot when awake and socialising with other kids, hence the minor bugs.
