Lavender essentail oil and sleep

Does anyone know how old an infant has to be before I can start using Lavender aromatherapy oil in his cot at night? Also, how many drops can I put in his cot?

not many drops - it can be a stimulant if used in large doses!

I used to sprinkle a couple of drops on dd1's pillow once she was 2-ish

You could burn some in a little burner in his room (while you are there obv)?

I think I used Lavender (in wheatgerm oil) as a massage oil after dd's bath, before bed from about 6 weeks - but I'm not sure exactly

I have been using a lavender night spray, may be radox, just spraying a little in both DDs rooms, amazingly, DD2 has slept much better, not sure if t is just coincidence!!!
