is it just me or do you feel a bit miffed when your baby doesn't get good naps and you are really trying??

my dd has a bit of a thing about waking after 35 mins (though saying that she has been asleep for 50 mins so far after her lunch of cauli/courgette and papaya ) and yesterday I was rather gutted when she woke after twenty mins at lunch time when my internet shopping was delivered. she had a total of about an hour and a half over three naps yesterday.
I felt really guilty about not helping her sleep longer even though I tried at the lunch and afternoon nap to feed her back to sleep. Do you feel like this too? Is this just part of the guilt that comes with being a parent??!!

Reading this with great interest and also guilt as I have stopped trying hard to get DS to nap. He is 6 months and barely naps at all, maybe 10 or 20 minutes a few times a day, unless he's in the car when he'll sleep for longer. He's a nightmare to settle in the evenings (can take 2-3 hours) so I put all my energy into sorting that out and just can't face the same battle with day time naps. Do worry though that he is chronically fatigued as he can only be getting 12 hours max in every 24 hours which is way less than he needs. Should I be trying harder to get him to nap at fixed times? I try the usual tricks but nothing seems to work. He is generally quite happy though can get very frenetic and grizzly late pm which I'm sure is due to overtiredness.
