Laneydaye

my ds is 4 months on Monday and we started him on solids a week ago. He was a big baby and weighed 12lbs by the time he was 5 weeks. Since then however he has only put on 2 1/2lbs.

He gets his solids at 6pm before he goes to bed. We wake him at 10pm and give him a top up bottle of formula (I bf the rest of the time) and he then wakes up once during the night. Although he's still waking up in the night he's so much more settled and I've eventually got him into a routine re feeding during the day.

I told my hv I was thinking of giving him solids and she said to try and hold him off for a bit longer. However, since the advice she gave me when ds1 was a baby was to wean between 4 and 6 months she couldn't really say too much about me doing the same with ds2.

He's already taking 6 teaspoons and is loving it!!!
