I have a grobag thermometer next to dd's moses basket in our room. The last 2 nights it has been on 25 degrees at night! We have had her in just a babygro with no covers which she is happy with. If it gets a little cooler we just put a sheet on her but still no vest.

koa · 25/07/2008 22:49

I have done same though it has made him even worse with legs out of cot. I have been looking for a cotton sheet gro bag sort of thing but cant find one.

I got a sheet sleeping bag from jojomamanbebe. Bumpto3 also do 0.5tog bags - you get a 10% mumsnet discount with both of them too.

AuntyJ · 26/07/2008 19:43

Ive put mine a vest and then put him in a pillow case. Our room is unbearably hot!

mehdismummy · 26/07/2008 19:50

ds is just in his vest!! very hot at the moment!!

PhDiva · 26/07/2008 20:22

just a nappy, and even that I was eyeing in the heat of the night...It was sticking to his skin. We co-sleep, so when it gets cooler, he snuggles up to me.

isitreallythattime · 26/07/2008 20:56

I've put my ds in travel cot in my room as slightly cool than his (currently at 28. Just put nappy on him, may move him into his room in a bit if it cools down. Its way too hot at mo!! Tomorrow suppossed to be hotter

mooki · 26/07/2008 21:58

I cut a head hole and two arm holes in a pillowcase.

koa · 26/07/2008 21:59

Looked at 0.5 tog bags today even those seemed thick. Would like a very thin cotton one - thickness of a sheet maybe. If was more talented and confident I would make one from a pillow case. What is the thinnest sleep bag anyone has found?

Jo jo Maman Bebe does these sheet ones.

PurlyQueen · 26/07/2008 23:47

Tesco does sheet ones for £4 or £6 (can't remember the price)

nik76 · 27/07/2008 08:15

Nappy and a vest top - it was 27 in our room last night!!!!

Have to put a light sheet over her legs if not in grobag otherwise she can't sleep for playing with her feet!!!

moocowme · 27/07/2008 08:37

are the Tesco ones 100% cotton? if not polyester would trap in a bit of heat and moisture.

PurlyQueen · 27/07/2008 20:01

The Tesco ones are pure cotton

koa · 02/08/2008 21:53

Thank you for the info, unfortunatly, I cant find the Tesco ones I've been in store and have tried on line. Has anyone a link?

Just a vest for ds

pudding25 · 02/08/2008 22:23

We got a 0.5 tog sheet sleeping bag from John Lewis. I think it is a grobag.

geordieminx · 02/08/2008 22:26

just a nappy on really hot nights, vest on warm ones. Usually sneak in before bed and put a sheet or cellular blanket over him. We have the .5 tog bag but its too restrictive for hot nights. Ds is 15 months though and often competes in cot gymnastics...
