10mo has stopped falling asleep while feeding

...and I don't feel like I have any other way to get her to sleep!!

Have tried rocking, putting in cot, stroking back etc but all that seems to work is exhausting her and then feeding again.

Ideally I would love if she just went to sleep in the cot but I am happy to continue supporting her to sleep (it's just taking forever and feels unsustainable)

How do I move to a new method?

Oh it's so annoying when that happens. I found it best to move bedtime back rather than them have a snoozy feed for twenty mins and then be re-energised for the next 1.5 hours...

If it's taking ages you might just need to push bedtime or nap later. I fed my DS to sleep until he was almost 3 so I'd be surprised if you were done at 10 months.

I always found the huckleberry schedules helpful to figure out if I needed to make some tweaks.

That stage where the feed stops doing the trick is so frustrating. One thing worth checking before going later with bedtime: babies who take ages to drop off can actually be a bit overtired rather than not tired enough, that second wind thing. So it might be worth watching for her sleepy signs (going quiet, staring off, rubbing eyes) and starting the wind down as soon as you spot them. A short calm routine done the same way every night helps too, whichever way you end up settling her.

This happened to us too. We switched to a floorbed and would cuddle to sleep and roll away. I think it helps if it's not you doing it to start with so my husband did it for the first few nights. Then we could both do it.
