Pillows? What are your thoughts and when did your little ones get them?

I would love to know the thoughts about toddlers and pillows. Did you get special childrens pillows or normal adult ones and how old were your DC when they started sleeping with them.

they are supposed to be ok from 1 year. DS however had a goi goi pillow from a few weeks old (helps prevent/correct flattening of the head) and has had one since. He now has a cot pillow I got from tkmaxx for about £7. You dont need a special pillow as a normal flattish one would do the job just as well.

we got the childrens one from argos or somewhere. Had those from about 18mnths

DS (2.2) has just gone into his own bed with a pillow and duvet and everything, and loves it. He'd already clearly expressed a preference for our bed with pillows, so it seemed like the right time!

Thanks all. My DD (2.3) has just gone into a bed and has just asked for one so I guess I'm shopping over the weekend.

I've given one to dd (nearly 2) and she hasn't a clue what to do with it! she just sleeps below it a little further down the bed. I'm not alowed to take it away though as she is used to it being there now....
