he only has a 4.5 tog quilt and short and t-shirt pj's, but every night his face is all red and his hair is soaked. he doesn't have a temp and it doesnt seem to bother him , but he had a febrile convulsion about a year ago(which _was due to a high temp.),and it does worry me. anyone else have this problem, or ideas for helping?

I don't know but will be keeping an eye as my 4 year old is exactly the same. He goes to bed usually with just pyjama bottoms on and one fleece blanket - his duvet stays folded at the bottom of the bed -and every night when I check on him he's drenched in sweat and roasting.

When he gets tired he gets very sweaty and red - he's always been a hot sweaty baby!

i suppose its a bit reassuring to know he's not the only one. atually my 2 year old can get that way at his nap time too. but now i can hear my 3 month old on the moniter so i'd better go and get her.

Our 6 year old isn't at all like this - stays all lovely and cool/ordinary temperature - even with a big duvet on!
