I have had TWO HOURS of sleep - someone tell me what is wrong with Flameboy!

The last few nights have been hell - he wakes, wants me, if he gets into bed with me (easy life mum) he kicks and squirms.

Last night I decided he was just in the habit and kept putting him back to bed and letting him cry.

He got hysterical.

Finally calmed him to sleep about 4.30am sitting on his bed with him. I think he was just plain exhausted by then.

We've tried stopping naps, making them shorter, changing the time of day - there is no rhyme nor reason to why he does it.

I am sooooooooooo tired. He is currently still asleep, a friend is taking DD to school but I am 99% sure he will wake as soon as she leaves so I still get no sleep.

Sorry no solutions, just a shoulder to doze on.

EffiePerine · 12/06/2008 08:29

How old is he? Can your partner help out at night?

Flamesparrow · 12/06/2008 08:32

We are both doing it, but DH finds it easier to ignore him so copes better with the leaving him to settle himself etc.

He's 2 (was 2 in Feb)

DD now gone, DS still asleep so I am crawling back into bed

You need to not stay up so late at night reading erotic fiction .

Got his back molars yet? Could be them coming through.

Flamesparrow · 12/06/2008 09:03

Lol - I didn't have any to read

No back molars so yup, could be that
