Didn't swaddle dd (6 weeks) last night due to heat and consequently we've hardly slept a wink. She woke every hour and it ended up she would only sleep in my arms. Can't face anotehr night like it. Do you reckon just nappy and swaddled is ok? Worried she'll overheat as our bedrooms are really warm anyway

Yes. ds was born in late July o6 and was frequently swaddled with a cotton sheet and just a nappy.

nappy and cotton sheet is fine

VictorianSqualor · 10/06/2008 13:49

could swaddle with a muslin and a vest like we did too.

Yes, we went through this in the summer of 06, too. So much anxiety! Again, did nappy and cotton sheet.

last night we went for thin vest and a thin cotton tablecloth (!), our sheets are that brushed cotton stuff, far too warm. A much better night was had, thank goodness. Can't remember what age ds stopped needing the swaddlig, what about your dc's?

We agonised over it, but stopped at about 3-4 months, i think. Went down to a half swaddle first.

Glad to hear you had a better night.
