Please can anyone give me some advice?

My DD is 19 months old and for the past 2 months has been awakening at 2am just about every night! We put black out blinds up yesterday but she still woke up. She takes ages to settle and appears to be wide awake. I have tried cuddle, back to bed, bottle back to bed, disprol back to bed but I don't know if it is just habit now? I neve rush in and leave her for a while to see if she will settle but I am due No2 in 6 weeks and am soooo tired and sore in the night.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

I am off to bed now so will check in tomorrow.

Long time ago for me but if I were you i'd probably keep DD up all day and not let her nap. It would be hard to police esp if she is prone to dropping off in the car but I would try for a day/night at least. I'm not an expert but it sounds as tho she is not tired and maybe her sleep pattern has changed, time to change hers?

Someone with more experience of that age will come along soon.

Ta CHEESE but she still does it even if she hasn't had a nap.

I cannot believe - she slept ALL night last night - of course I didn't Bladder, heat, belley but at least I could rest
Any other advice would be welcome.

My sister gave me a peice of good advice which worked for me. She said stuff them full of milk before they go down, if they wake up in the night, give them boiled water, they won't want to get up again.

It really really did work.

At 19 mths, i'd wanna get up if I knew i'd get a bottle, warm hug and some attention

I'll try that next time - boiled water ta.

Yeah I agree with the "Stuff 'em with milk" ruse. After 5 pm tea ds has milk at 6 then again at 7 and if he still wants more he gets it. Sleeps 7 til6 which i can live with
