How can I gently stop bed sharing with my 14 month old?

We’ve been bed sharing with DD since she was about 9 months old. She has always been a brilliant sleeper, just not in her own bed!

DS (who is now 4) was very similiar but he would at least start the night in his cot and would come into us after a couple of hours, DD won’t entertain a cot full stop. I’ve tried her in both her own room and a travel cot in ours and the moment she feels her body touch that mattress she is awake and screaming.

I really would love to get our bed back to ourselves again, even if only for a couple of hours! Although she’s a great sleeper she is also a major fidgeter which is now affecting our sleep.

Any advice on how I can gently stop bed sharing? I honestly can’t cope with the tears and the screaming so most sleep training techniques terrify me!

Sorry not much help as two of mine were 4 before they slept through in their own bed but by the third I put double and single mattress on the floor and gave in😂 at least then i could roll over onto single mattress once he had settled and get some sleep. 🤷‍♀️ they grow out of it eventually! For what it's worth middle one slept 12 hrs in his own cot from 10-11mths once i stopped breast feeding so i think some kids just need more comfort from being close/body contact🥰
