Baby won't go down to sleep

Someone help 😫
My 3 month old has started waking every time we try putting him down in his cot. Day and night. I've been trying to settle him and put him down for over an hour and nothing is working. He's now so so overtired.
I lower him in gently, lean over him, hand on his chest. Tried putting him in the cot drowsy and patting to sleep. Nothing works.
Looks like another night co sleeping...not what we want tbh.
Is this a regression?? Or normal 3 month old sleep?
Help me 😓

Sometimes babies just go through phases like this, which I know isn’t what you want to hear, but it will pass. Have you tried shoving the cot/basket sheet down your top for a couple of hours before putting it on, so it has your scent on?

I found with mine at that age, it was too quiet. She was used to lots of noise during her daytime naps so struggled with my panicked silence at nighttime!

We had a few of those nights with my DS. If it was light I used to put him in his pram and walk him until he fell asleep, or the same in the car. I found if he got a little sleep it would take the edge off the overtiredness.

@TwinklyGoldReader I've got a bedsheet against me to see if it makes any difference tonight.

I really feel like this is a regression. He's taking so much longer to fall asleep, he used to fall asleep much quicker than now. Fighting naps, missing naps completely or waking up a lot earlier than usual.

@Rituals1 thank you, the pram doesn't work for us unfortunately! 😔
