To nap or not to nap?

I'm in major need of advice.

my son is 2, turns 3 in October and nap times are becoming a nightmare. He screams and screams until his heart is content. Eventually falls asleep but he really fights it. And if we let him ride it out he crashes at 4/5pm, treats that as a nap and won't sleep again until 6/7.

i know people say you need to keep him awake but if I do that he'll go overtired and won't sleep until 9pm and then scream at that session as well. I also have a 15 week old baby so I'm really bloody struggling right now. I'm tired, he's tired, the babies tired, I'm stuck and I don't know what to do.

as soon as we get in the car his eyes will drop in 5 minutes but shock my 15 week old baby hates his car seat and screams! And as soon as I move the toddler into the house he wakes up. Whether he's been in it an hour to 15 minutes.

im searching for advice as I'm stuck, lost and very hormonal.
