10.5 month was sleeping well, now waking earlier - WHY?

I know this is similar to the other early eaking post and I haven't had very long of it either but I am no good without sleep so need answers

DD2 goes to bed at 7pm and an early riser usually 6am. Then starting sleeping until 6.30-7am for about a month which coincided with a cold so maybe feeling really tired. Anyway we thought, result but now the last 2 mornings 6am again and this morning 4.45am!

She woke crying. DH went in to cuddle her and she fell asleep in his arms, tried to put her back in the cot - screamed blue murder. Left her for a 5 minutes to see if she would resettle but then I went in and held her and she sleep on and off on me (in between playing with my face and babbling) until 6.30. Now she will be a real grump as she's lost out on those hours this morning.

Do you think it's teeth? Or just that she's back to rising early again. 6am is just about bearable but 4.45am is not funny. Has anyone tried to leave to cry to see if they will go back to sleep?

She normally has a morning nap (45mins-1hr) and then lunchtime nap (1-2 hrs). If I cut our morning nap like some people say, she would be absolutely foul by lunchtime and she is so tired by 7pm that I keep her up much later.

Any advice pls!

we have struggled with the morning nap thing. DD goes without it 2-3 mornings each week, but still needs it on the other days. After much trial and error, if she naps in the morning we now wake her after 15mins. Sounds a bit brutal, but actually, she's fine: refreshed and ready for the next chunk of her day.

Hi, did you manage to get round this? I am my wits end. DS is 10 months and waking at 4.45. He is not eating much either but dont want to put it all down to teeth as this has been going on forever. He also has morning nap. Did you try cutting this out?

Hi

Tried shorting morning nap to half an hour over the weekend. She has been fine with that but then her lunch time naps seems to have gone to pot and she is waking early from that and then grumpy for the afternoon until bed. Yesterday she slept in the car late afternoon and then took forever to go to sleep at bedtime - urgh!!! Has been waking up more 6am the last few days though so some good in all this! Though this morning it was 5am becuase she was on her front and seems to start crawling and waking herself up. Went in, picked her up, gave her a cuddle and put her back down on back where she proceeded to cry for 5 mins and then went back to sleep until 6.30am. I don't think it is teeth as she hasn't had the usual symptons so I don't know what it is all about. So much for no2 being easier! Good luck
