2.5 year old potty training sleep regression?

Ever since starting potty training nearly two weeks ago my little one is consistently waking at 4am. I truly can’t figure out why. She has always been so good at going to bed by herself with no night wakings. However, since potty training it’s been consistent. She does manage to doze back off but I’m having to sit with her, which is so out of character.

She is still in the phase of wearing a nappy at bedtime so I’m wondering if it’s the uncomfortable feeling of being wet? If so, I’m unsure how to handle this. Do I take the nappy off even though I know she isn’t ready for this & will have an accident in bed, or when she wakes at 4am do I sit her on the potty? I’ve always read when they wake early, try to get them back off to sleep asap with minimal interaction.

Im just not sure if I’m doing something wrong, or if it’s now become a bad habit and she knows I’ll appear at 4am.

Any helps/tips would be greatly appreciated.
