Me and husband can't agree

My little one is 4 months old. She slept from midnight - 5.30/6am. The past couple of weeks she hasn't been sleeping well. Very unsettled and consistently awake. I feed her at 9 after her bedtime routine put her in her crib to sleep and then usually dream feed her at midnight. My husband wants me to let her sleep past midnight so she wakes around 2am as he said that's a better sleep (and his mum told him to let the baby sleep). My argument is she dropped the early morning bottle ages ago and I do no want to re introduce it as she dropped it herself. And I don't want her thinking 2am is morning and then ill have to feed at 5am etc. Am I being unreasonable?

Nobody has the right answer, just what works for them.

I never used to wake ours, they let me know if they were hungry. Is that right... probably not.

If its you doing the feeding then I'd say it's your call, but he's entitled to think differently too.

It’s really hard. My gut would say let her wake she is hungry as the dream feed doesn’t seem to be helping her at present. Could be teething. My youngest got her first teeth at 4 months. These days are extremely hard and you just have to go by gut. I would say whoever is waking to do the feed gets to choose. Good luck. These days seem endless at the time but it does pass.

I actually prefer to let my baby sleep so I can go to sleep myself and get a good stretch. I go to bed at 9 and my baby wakes around 2.30. I feel a lot better getting this really restful big chunk of sleep. Ocasionally he wakes around midnight and then only wakes around 3 or 4, and I feel awful after those nights as I myself didn't get a proper stretch then.

So do whatever works for you.
