Struggling with kids night wakings

I have two kids aged 3.5years and 8months. Both are terrible sleepers, I haven’t had a full nights sleep since before I had my eldest boy. I hit some low points with my first and I’m getting there again now. My eldest still wakes multiple times a night and my youngest basically refuses to be out down for naps and bedtimes I have to wait until he is in a deep sleep to put him down, sometimes he will stay asleep bit more often then not, he wakes, cries and the process starts all over again.

i don’t have any time for myself, my evenings are spent getting kids to sleep, and then trying to squeeze in getting some things done before one of them wakes up.

These past few nights have been extra hard as in sick and the baby is teething and got a cold. He’s waking like 4 times an hours, won’t let me put him down at all. Wakes every hour in the night. I feel so overwhelmed and like I can’t handle it anymore. I’m looking at sleep training but don’t want to leave them to cry.

If any mama’s out there have some advice/tips/share some similar experiences and how you handled the situation I’d really appreciate it.

I have so much sympathy. My eldest is generally an ok sleeper but my baby is awful at the moment. And then the nights he actually sleeps ok my older one generally decides to wake me up.

why is the older one waking up? 3.5 is old enough to understand not disturbing parents for no good reason IMO. Can you try bribery to get him not to wake you up? Does he wake early? Have you tried a gro clock or Yoto player to keep him in his room until a set time in the morning?

no suggestions for the younger one I’m afraid as I am also struggling big time 😫
