Sleepy baby - growth spurt?

What's the definition of a growth spurt?

My lo is at 7 weeks and has been getting more awake time during the day. However, today she's slept pretty much all day, apart from waking up to feed. I cannot keep her awake. Is this a growth spurt? She isnt waking up screaming at more times for food, just her usual times but with a lot more sleeping.

If only!

A growth spurt is typically characterised by a wakeful fretful baby who cries on and off all day and doesn't sleep except while actually feeding! The minute you put them down they wake up to demand another feed.

It lasts 2-3 days and can be hell.

Sleeping more than usual doesn't sound like one to me
