Hi, we recently ditched the dummies around 3 weeks ago and ever since then our wealth soothing toddler just cannot get to sleep with out us sitting in the room for minimum 1hour. To add to the sleep disturbances she has learnt how to jump out of the cot. Any advice would be great on how to shake this and encourage self settling.

Didn't want to read and run!
I'd be more worried about her jumping out of her cot. Her cot base either needs lowering or she needs to go into a small bed.

When our son could get out of cot it was time to move onto toddler bed for safety reasons. You can get some really close to floor or at floor level but with low barriers to encourage them to stay in bed. It does take us half an hour to 45 mins to get our son to sleep and we have to stay in the room and stop him from getting out of the bed. It’s a pain at the moment but once he’s asleep he’s asleep. I did do a breastfeed to sleep until he was around 2.5 though, but I think he just has trouble switching off his little brain. Sometimes a foot massage or arm tickle helps to soothe him enough to drift off. Sorry OP no magic solutions!

Does she nap? If so, either drop the nap or significantly shorten it.

You definitely need to switch to a toddler bed. You can try laying next to her and cuddling her, see if that speeds up the process.
