What's your 12-month old nap routine like?

Hello,

I feel like my 12-month old is in a transitional phase to one nap but not sure how best to support him getting there, and whether it's the right time!

He's sleeping from roughly 7pm-6am (can vary by 30 min each way) but still waking up overnight once for a feed. He's been waking up 2-3 times recently but I think it's teething-related. He has one nap only at nursery from around 1-3pm but at home he still needs a morning nap. He'll go on sleeping for 2+ hours but then won't go down easily for nap 2 in the afternoon so I've started trying to wake him up at 11am so he's sufficiently tired for nap at around 2.30pm.

Not sure this is completely working and I'm worried his sleep routine is too different when at home v nursery. He seems to be OK with just one nap at nursery but at home he'll be too sleepy to last until after lunch.

How long did your 12-month old sleep for during daytime? Was it different in nursery/childminder v home? When did they drop to 1 nap?

Thanks!

What time does he nap in the morning at home? Maybe bring it forward by 15 mins and see if that works. He might have a tricky time adjusting each day from nursery to home.

Both my sons at 12 months had two naps- one x 9:30am for 1.5 hr and another at 2:30pm for an hr. They both dropped the morning nap by 16 months, but all kids are different.

He naps from 9.30 in the morning and I usually have to wake him up at 11, otherwise can sleep until 12. Sometimes he'll last until 10am if he woke up a bit later in the morning.
