Hi, I'm thinking about putting my ds 3.5 on the top bunk and dd on the bottom 2. He is phisically confident, dry at night and doesn't get up. out of bed, except in the morning. Is this a mad idea?? Has anyone else done this?
We only have 2 beds and the lo has outgrown her cot.

Should be Ok i think. My ds was in one about that age; we've actually put them down to two singles now as he was finding it a pain to get to the loo at night (now 6.5 and night training slowly). I was worried ds2 would try to climb up, but he never did.

my dd went into the top bunk on her 3rd birthday and we haven't had any problems at all.

ds has had one of those mid-sleeper beds since 3.4 and been absolutely fine.

Oh good! sounds like it could be o.k. I thought i might get horror stories of them falling from great heights. my ds loves the idea, but my MIL just suggested that it would be too high. I think i'll stick with the plan

I remember having this very same conversation when DS was 3. We did get him bunk beds and he has been using it ever since (he is nearly 6) without any problems at all.

He doesn't really use the top bunk, its more for when people sleep over.
