I'm so proud of her!

My DD is 15 months old and I decided to take the bars off of her cot bed and use a duvet instead of a bag. There was no real reason for making the switch. I just wanted her in a big girl bed and thought she was ready. She adapts very well to change. She's slept through the night since she was 7 weeks old and we have never had any sleep issues with her. I was a little worried at first. I thought she would fall out of bed because she moves a lot in the night. I thought she might try to get out of bed also. I showed her how to get out by turning on her tummy and sliding off. So, I put a stair gate on her door and put her to bed in her barless bed with duvet. I had nothing to worry about. She stayed put and didn't wake once until her normal wake up time. I couldn't believe it. This was a few days ago and it has been the same since. I know maybe later on when she gets older she might fight bed time and get out of bed but I feel starting her young will help lessen this later on. Do you agree? I feel very lucky to have such a good sleeper!
Thanks

You are lucky! My two loved going into their beds and sleep better than they did in their cots. All hail the good sleepers

Congratulations! Its such a big step when they first move into their beds - they look so little at first! I am so glad she has settled and is happy with her bed.

My DD went into her bed quite late- around 2.4. She's now 3.3 and has NEVER got out of bed once in it, so your DD might be the same!
