Hey everyone.

I posted on here about 3 weeks ago because my toddler went from self settling and sleeping through to screaming at bedtime for hours and waking hours overnight.

we kept trying our Ferber style method with no progress whatsoever - this has ALWAYS worked in the past!

so we decided to sit in the room with him for extra support til he’s asleep. Now this has helped alot reducing his anxiety during his bedtime routine and him falling asleep (sometimes some tears) but generally easier to reassure.

however he is still waking 2/3 times a night crying for us to come and sit next to him again. Obviously when he wakes from sleep cycles he needs us.

we are trying gradual retreat and managed to move closer to the door, but then we regressed and he got upset again so I went back to closer to his bed and intermittently holding the hand. Any advice for getting out the room! I feel a bit stuck now.

is now in a bed with a nightlight on all night. Xx
