11 week old is suddenly not sleeping at night.

My 11 week old is suddenly having really restless nights. He's ebf and has always woken 1 to 2 times a night but now he's waking at 1am and then just moving and making noises for most of the night. I feed him and settle him then he just just fidgets most of the night. He's not crying or unhappy, he just doesn't sleep. Anyone else experienced this?

my 12 week old has nights like this- when I peer into his crib, he's sucking one hand and rubbing the side of his head with the other, so I've assumed he's starting to learn to self settle? It takes ages though. And sometimes he'll get frustrated and cry in the end. But if he isn't crying or whinging, I try and leave him to it to figure it out

Thank you for the reply! Yes I think it's a milestone of some sort. Last night I left him to it and he eventually fell back asleep until 4am for a feed. As long as he's not crying then I figure he must be ok to self soothe.
