I have started solids but am finding that DS still only stays awake for 2 hours at a time, which means lunch is currently at 10.45! Any know when babies get more stamina?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

My DS was the same at 6 months -I remember him starting with a childminder then, and her laughing when I said he couldn't stay awake for more than 2 hours....!

Just go with the flow for now, meals don't have to be at mealtimes IYSWIM.

I know look back with very fond memories of a break every 2 hours - no such luck now!

I remember just the same when ds was 6 months. I was wondering how I'd ever get the recommended five meals into him if he slept all the time! Then I found baby-led weaning, relaxed about the whole thing, and let him eat when and what he wanted.

I'd say it worked, he's 16 months today and very healthy,

Hi Sophie, my DTs are exactly the same - alhough sometimes can only manage 1.5 hours and they are 28 weeks now! I was worrying for a while but now just try and enjoy the break as I know i won't last forever. I am doing a mix of BLW and some spoonfeeding and basically the only meal that I give at roughly the same time is breakfast...at other times I just fit in around them and when I'm eating. Milk is the most important food for up to a year anyway so as long as your LO is getting plenty of BFs or bottles I wouldn't worry too much.
