Long time lurker, first time poster and looking to hear about your experiences and ideas.
We have a wonderful baby girl (11 weeks old) who can only sleep when swaddled. We only started swaddling 2-3 weeks ago as we were desperate - every time she falls asleep she starts flailing her arms and legs and wakes herself up. We had to hold her down gently to her body so she can sleep through this phase and was often a problem cause it was cutting naps and night sleep short. There is no noise or any movement around her, so not sure it's Morro reflex. She is not overstimulated or overtired as we follow a flexible sleeping routine around her wake windows which works out great (so far).
She will soon start to roll over so I want to prevent going back to one of us being awaken to hold her down again at night.
Has anyone experienced this with their DCs? Is it just a stage, and if so, when did you see it phase out?
And yes, please do share any tips on transitioning out of the swaddle!
