DD is now a year and has been a horrendous sleeper. She woke every 45-90 mins regardless of what we did. I tried everything from cosleeping and feeding to sleep, to CC and never saw any improvement. Daytime naps were a 1 hr fight to get her to go down and lasted 30 mins at best.

Anyway, in the last month or so she's made huge progress. She now goes down to sleep, in her cot, with me by her side holding her hand. It takes about 30-60 mins but it's no real hardship for me (unless DH isnt here to see to DS) and she isn't distressed. She then sometimes wakes in the evening but will accept DH giving her a dummy back. She then wakes between 11pm and 1am for a feed and generally half nods off and settles back down OK. She's then up around 3am (though not always the last week) for a feed again. Then wakes at 5am for morning. She naps at about 8:30 - 10:30 and again from 2pm-4pm.

Now, that's not bad at all and enormous progress. Thing is, I'd love it if she went down without me in the room, woke less overnight, and then didn't get up until at least 6am. I'd like her to take shorter naps and get up from the afternoon one earlier. But I'm kind of terrified to change anything incase it all goes tits up! If I wake her from naps, she's just grouchy and overtired and finds it harder to settle. If I don't feed her at night, she just stays awake and crying until I do.

So, would you fiddle with anything? or just leave it be knowing that it's not so bad?

I'd leave it for a few weeks at least. She will probably reduce the length of time she sleeps during the day on her own, and it will be alot easier on all of you
