Hi

my baby is 19 weeks nearly 5 months.

normally goes to bed about 8 and sleep til 3ish, has a feed then back to sleep but then onwards he wakes every hour it’s like he can’t get into a deep sleep. Is this normal?! He has done this all his life

i don’t think 4 month regression as he has always done it and I think coming out the other side of that where he woke every hour all night.

I have blackout blinds so room is pitch black and white noise all night. I know it’s warm so have a fan circulating the room too

Just to add I know it’s a late bedtime but my partner is very much of that baby should be with us as very young, he thinks 6 months is too young but I don’t and will start putting him down earlier alone and watch on a monitor. Because of this during the day no real routine as all depends on him napping and they are around 45 mins max with the afternoon one just starting to lengthen. Come 6 months I will be sleep training

I think that is fairly normal, he’s still very young at 5 months. Sleeping 8-3 is a great chunk, he’s probably then not as tired. Mine didn’t sleep through the whole night until she went down to one nap at around 13 months. Until then she wouldn’t sleep properly until later in the evening then woke at 2ish then 4.
